  • Summary: A Contractor's friend
  • Comment: I am really rough on cell phones and headsets. As a restoration contractor I have to climb around attics and under houses. I have tried all brands and styles of Bluetooth earpieces and the Jabra Extreme is by far the best for 3 reasons:

1). By far it has the best assembly to keep in your ear. The worst thing is having an earpiece that falls off, considering the floor can be 3 stories below. All other brands are liars when it comes to claims of staying in your ear. This Jabra is the best.

2). It is a good friend. The biggest selling point should be it's ability to play music, podcasts and also streaming audio off the Internet. We are not supposed to have music on many jobs but I can listen to all my favorite shows without any one knowing, and still have an ear free to hear what is going on around me and talk to my crews. I have had to work in some real lonely, hard places and this Jabra has really provided some good comfort. When we can have music my guys can listen to their music and I can get my podcasts in. And unlike radios the music goes where I go. I have not found another ear piece that can do this.

3). Everything else. Long battery life, car and wall charger included, charges fast, easy pairing, lightweight. Can talk to people clearly on loud job sites. Can voice command my smartphone from my earpiece. Pauses audio during calls and resumes playback after call. Pretty much can manage phone calls and keep on working uninterrupted. No more expensive than other earpieces.
    Really, buy the Jabra Extreme.

  • Summary: Jabra Extreme Bluetooth Headset
  • Comment: The head set works well, the noise reduction is good, but I find the battery requires charging too frequently. every other day with light use. I find the ear plug type connection will fall out of your ear. If you use the wire over the ear your constantly pushing the jabra into the ear to hear better and then you accidently hit the control button disconnecting your call.
Better design would be a ear plug where you can also use the over the ear wire at the same time. Its one ot the other, not both!

  • Summary: The BEST
  • Comment: is the best headset I've had, in fact the third I buy, because the previous two I have been stolen from my car. hear crisp, is comfortable, discreet, lightweight and its most important function can be used with two phones at the same time

  • Summary: Painful for Small Ears, poor output, speaker on iPhone is better, so is Jabra JX10 Series 2
  • Comment: Painful for Small Ears, poor output, speaker on iPhone is better, so is Jabra JX10 Series 2. Hard to know why Jabra would leave a great design, the Jabra JX10 series 2, for this Jabra Extreme. I can wear the JX 10 all day; it looks like jewelry. The JX10 does not have A2DP though, so I can't hear my iTunes from my iPhone with the JX10, and can with this Jabra Extreme. The Jabra Extreme sticks away from my head, out about 1/2", and looks like something is wrong.

People complain it sounds muffled, like I am at the bottom of a well. When I switch to speaker phone on my iPhone, they say it is better, always. So this is painful, has low quality sound output, but does telephone calls as well as music. The Jabra JX10 Series 2 just does telephone calls.

The button to end the call is on the face of the Jabra Extreme, so pushing on it pushes the device into my ear, hurting it further. The Jabra JX10 has the end call button on the sides, so you pinch the device instead of pushing it into your ear. It is a much classier design, and is shipped in $250.00 packaging, as stylish as the iPhone packaging, and more gizmos, at half the price. Jabra, how about putting the A2DP into the JX10 Series 2 form and packaging?
