  • Comment: The three game storage and protection is great. The little drawer is solid and I don't worry about my son tearing it off. The stylus storage inside is perfect. The addition stylus is pointless and only added to make it more attractive since it doesn't fit anywhere in the case and there is already a stylus in the case. As far as the wrist strap, another item just to say it's included. I would not want my son to be carrying around a $200 DSIxl by a wrist strap connected to a protective case.

  • Comment: When I purchased the DSI XL, I wanted to also purchase a case to protect it from scuffs and scratches. I originally bought the Nintendo Dsi XL Silver Aluminum Case XL and Pen Stylus XL and returned it due to the sharp edges it had. This item is made of plastic, fits the DSI XL just right, and the 3 slots to hold games is an awesome addition. I really like this case and recommend it to others that have the DSI XL. It's lightweight and looks great on the DSI XL. It will protect the DSI from getting scratches and blemishes on the outside case and give you a place to hold 3 games. Oh, and it also comes with a nice stylus as well. I think this item is a great inexpensive investment.

  • Comment: Despite what the other reviews say, this case was EXACTLY what I had been looking for. It does hold the extra games even though it only holds 3 but I never was under the impression it held more than that anyways. Even though the description is technically wrong because it did state it holds 6 games, I have the exact case for the DS Lite and the DSI and I knew it wouldn't hold 6. However, aside from that, the case is perfect! It fits like a glove without extra room for it to slide around in but it's also not so tight it won't fit over your DS. The shade of black is not so intense that you can use it for any color DS without it clashing. It has cut outs for all ports on your DS to allow you to still switch out games, plug in headphones, etc. without having to take the case back off to do so. The sliding drawer that holds the games is lined with some kind of super soft rubber material similar to suede in feel that hugs your games nicely and keeps them from getting damaged. And of course the best and most common reason this case would be used for is protection of your DS system. It is made of plastic so it is hard enough to withstand normal day to day wear and tear. It wont allow scratches, dents or dings happen to your system. This case is incredibly cheap compared to purchasing another DS case or system altogether from damage. I recommend this case to ANYONE with a DSI XL or anyone who is in the market to purchase one. It is a good buy! Also, please note, I have the "city case" which holds 3 games as well, it is more of a portable type case to carry your system in (made of cloth/velcro) but even with this case over my DSI XL, it still fits into the city case holder. Not to mention I love the added bulk and weight it supplies to my system, makes it easier to hold.

  • Comment: The product is not terrible, but the whole reason I bought it is because the listing claims it can hold 6 games or sd cards at once with two trays - the box itself only contains one tray and only talks about holding three games or sd cards.

    Extremely disappointing, I could have taken the money spent on this and gotten the dsi xl starter kit with a case that holds more games but I chose this because it was cheaper - guess I chose wrong.

  • Comment: I finally received this case yesterday (pre ordered quite some time ago). I was very excited because I really liked a similar case I have on my regular DSi (made by another company though - Mad Catz). The Mad Catz case adds some bulk to the DSi and makes it more comfortable for me to hold. I was hoping this new DSi XL one did the same. It does but not quite as well.

    Firstly I want to say that you only get ONE game case tray. The packaging indicates one game case tray but the instruction sheet included says you get 2 game case trays. Only ONE game case tray can fit on the DSi at a time so even had I gotten two I could only use one at a time. However this means that what you are getting is not what is stated here. I tend to dislike that. I also was under the impression that you could hold 6 DS Games/SD cards at once but that is not true. It holds only 3 and a stylus. All the cut outs are in the right place but you will need to keep the stylus in the game tray case as the case itself goes over the stylus slot on the DSi. This is fine with me since that is my usual experience but it would be nice if some game company fixed this some day.

    In terms of quality the plastic is nice and thick and the insert in the game tray seems well made. It's a smoky black color but you can sort of see the color of your DSi underneath. The clear case had some scratches when it arrived but noting I couldn't live with. The plastic itself is hard. I prefer a softer plastic as it tends to make my hands less sticky and hot but so far this one isn't too terrible for games you hold regularly. Games where you hold the DSi on its side, though, are not going to work with this case. It feels awkward and my hand was very slippery due to sweating on plastic as I worked on the game. Perhaps this would not happen with a more casual game but it is a dissapointment.

    Edited to Add: Although I do like this case I have been encountering problems getting my DS carts out of the DSiXL. The case sometimes covers the slot just a bit (as would normally be expected as this is hard plastic so not flexible) and you have to make sure your case is just right to get the game out without it being a tad difficult. It is not enough for me to change my rating -- esp. given the options you have right now for this type of case -- but I wanted to make you aware that this could happen.

    Overall I think this provides adequate protection. It will not protect from drops but from the everyday scratches and such it should work just fine. I really wanted to give it 2 stars for the fact that you do not get what you are promised (which is 2 game tray cases and not only 1) and for the fact that it leads you to think you can hold 6 games which is not true. BUT I do like the case and it holds 3 games very well. So I added a star. I am going to call the company and ask about that extra game case tray that the instructions say should be there but that was not in my packaging. If any of you got the case and got the extra tray please do comment and I'll update once I talk to the company.
